Concrete Pour Milestone

The Wentworth Health Service Redevelopment has reached a significant milestone, with the new hospital’s concrete slab now poured.

More than 40 trucks delivered approximately 340 cubic metres of concrete for the new hospital’s foundation, which was poured in four sections over four weeks.

FWLHD Manager of Remote Health Services Denise McCallum, Wentworth Health Service Manager Tim O’Neill, and hospital staff joined the builders to celebrate the milestone with a cake cutting ceremony.

The current hospital remains fully operational as the main works progress and every effort is being made to minimise disruption to staff, patients and visitors.
